Temporarily leaving the busy work, we went to Da Nang for summer vacation in joy and excitement. The first morning (May 22th, 2020) after arriving at the airport, employees from the North - Central - South gathered at Vu Minh Da Nang office, were hand in hand to greet each other on the reunion day, had lunch together at the office with lots of delicious and strange foods. After that, everyone was free to rest and play.
Also in that afternoon, the annual tennis tournament was held to encourage the fitness and sports spirit of the employees. We have witnessed fierce matches of promising seeds from all departments in the Company.
Our place was only a 3 minute walk from Pham Van Dong beach. The whole team got up early in the morning to welcome the dawn on the sea, take pictures and swim.
Our team decided to choose Linh Ung Bai But Pagoda as the following attraction. The pagoda is located on a hill of Son Tra Peninsula, located halfway up the mountain, shaped like a turtle, facing the sea, leaning against immense primeval forest. We went into the pagoda, offered incense and prayed for peace.
In the afternoon, the whole team went to An Bang beach to enjoy the fresh, peaceful atmosphere there. And the last stop of the day was the ancient town of Hoi An - a cultural heritage of humanity with an ancient and contemplative beauty. The whole team continued to enter the old town to visit, go sightseeing, watching Hoi An at night, a bustling but not crowded, idyllic and poetic scene.
About the third day, two words were enough to describe the feelings of the day, i.e. “SO GOOD”. Waterfall sliding, rope swing, fish massage, water slide were new games and a little “adventure” with office workers like us. We were burned to our heart, freed up all our energy and overcame our fears to try out such games as zipline and waterfall slide. After playing all day with fun activities together, we went back to the city for surprising and interesting Gala Dinner.
The thing I remember most is the Gala Dinner taking place in the cozy and happy atmosphere with the employees of in the North - Central – South Offices. On everyone’s faces were full of smiles, sparkling eyes when they cheered to congratulate Vu Minh’s big family on turning 23 years old. We sang together, watched the clip to look back on the 23-year journey in choked emotion and happiness. With the sincere confidences of the Director, of those who have been with Vu Minh for many years to review the past memories associated with every stage of the company’s development, each of us cannot help but be touched, proud and put so much love on this second family.
As Henry Ford’s saying quoted at the end of the clip:
“Coming together is a beginning
Staying together is progress
Working together is success”
It is true that coming together is a fate, from which we stick together, work hard together, devote together to create a strong, loving, united and successful Vu Minh Company.
